"BRINGING OLD BIKES BACK TO LIFE." THAT'S WHAT THIS SITE IS ABOUT. THE THRILL OF HEARING THAT OLD ENGINE START UP. THE JOY OF FINDING THAT HIDDEN JEWEL IN THE CORNER OF AN OLD BARN. AND MOST OF ALL, GETTING THEM ON THE ROAD AGAIN. WE ARE ALL ABOUT MOTORCYCLES, FROM RADICAL CHOPPERS TO STOCK BIKES AND ANYTHING IN BETWEEN. BRANDS MEAN NOTHING HERE, WE ARE ABOUT RIDING AND WRENCHING.
Be sure to check the site resources section to the right. Remember to visit our forums and chopper tech section. This will be where most content of the site is located. We want this to be a great technical and mechanical resource for any old bike or chopper enthusiast.

Future plans include scanning in hundreds of old chopper and bike mags from the 60's, 70's and 80's. There are tons of cool stuff and tech articles in them, and let's face it, documentation for old bikes can be hard to come by. As with all great sites, we need your support! If you have any advice, articles, diagrams, guides or anything you think others would find helpful, please submit them so we can post them on the site. We will be an ever expanding resource for those who love old bikes.

Right now, we are saving up money for a special scanner for scanning magazines. After the scanner arrives we will begin scanning and archiving the magazines.

Choppertown: The Sinners

ChopperTown - The Sinners. Be sure to check this one out!

Headlight Ears

Just got these in the mail for my stocker. The other headlight ears were real thin with no rubber. It made the headlight vibrate and blow, so I thought I would try these out. They are cast aluminum.

Wheelchair Motorcycles

Check out the full post with many more images at the Resurrectediron Forums. To me these are some awesome machines. Don't give up, there's always a way to get out and ride.

400 Suzuki

This is a 400 Suzuki single cylinder. These bikes are really fun. They have quite a bit of torque and will pop wheelies really well... not that I would ever do that!

We won't even get into how they do for ramping mud holes lol.

Rocketeer bike?

Here's something a bit different... Don't know what it is but imagine the looks you would get riding it. Pic by Chris Mejia, from flickr.

"April 19, 2009 | Venice Beach, CA
Held at the Stronghold in Venice, the Vintage Motorcyle Rally had a great turn out. There were lots of home built cafe's and stock bikes. A few professional built bikes showed up as well. The people were friendly, the weather was perfect and the sound of motorcycles made for a great Sunday afternoon. "

Got my new clutch/brake levers today and got them on my stock cb750. Just waiting on headlight ears and brake pads to get it done. I did get to ride today on my wife's bike. It is PERFECT weather, almost makes me think I am not in Iowa in July or something...

National Motorcycle Museum (Anamosa, IA)

I have been meaning to get to the National Motorcycle Museum, but haven't got there yet. This is a pic I found online showing a WWII German army BMW. They are supposed to have all sorts of vintage motorcycles. Sounds like a good day trip for me. I'll see about going once I get a front wheel on my bike ha ha... The wait continues, now its been probably 40 hrs since riding and I am about to go nuts.

The Jesus Tail Light

Check this out! I just got mine in the mail a couple days ago. The guys at http://www.foundrymoto.com are the ones making these. I highly recommend them. Made in the U.S.A., fast service, fair prices and quite possibly the coolest tail light on the planet.

Cool Tank

I saw this tank on ebay. The description was pretty much said it was a vintage 70's paintjob. Said it had checking and it wasn't perfect. Anyway, I love this tank but not as much as the guy who won it! I think it brought around $750.00. I suppose you can't put a value on something as cool as this though, and it is one of the neater tanks I have seen in a long while.

New Resurrected Iron Blog

Welcome to the new Resurrected Iron Blog.

I got to thinking... I check my favorite chopper/motorcycle sites daily if I can. They are all in the blog format. I think this will be a good addition to the site, giving users something to look forward to seeing every day. So here is where it starts.

I have been messing around with my CB750 yesterday and today. I have switched the front end out for a "F" or "super sport" model front end. They are a bit cleaner looking and have dual disc brakes instead of the single disc. It's almost done, just waiting on some headlight ears and some brake pads. Man I have to get this done, its been about 20 hours since I rode!
